Taking Healthier Materials to High Point Market

Parsons Healthy Materials Lab is exhibiting at High Point Market this week (Oct 23-30, 2024). As the largest home furnishings trade show in the world, High Point Market brings together over 70,000 attendees, offering a platform for designers, architects, and industry leaders to explore the future of interior design— and we’re encouraging them to choose healthier, low-carbon products.

We’ve been invited to host an exhibition and panel discussion at 313 Space (#203), a newly restored 20th-century mill. Our exhibition features healthier, climate positive materials that are durable, aesthetically intriguing and ready to install.

We are showcasing pieces from our partners, including Keim, Duracryl, mafi, nanimarquina, Loose Parts, MushLume, Stickbulb, and Hempitecture. Each reflects a commitment to healthier living environments, demonstrating how materials can transform design practices to improve community health.

If you’re attending High Point Market, don’t miss the “Wellness at Home: Materials Matter” panel discussion on Friday, October 25th. Moderated by HML’s Jonsara Ruth, co-founder and Design Director of Healthy Materials Lab, the panel will feature experts Jennifer June (Loose Parts), Roy Suttles (Keim), Bas Van Genderen (Duracryl), Aaron Lindstrom (mafi), and Fred Martel (MycoWorks). Together, they’ll explore the critical role that healthier products play in creating healthier homes and communities.

Mark your calendars and visit us at 313 Space #203 on Centennial Street. Our materials library has traveled from our NYC headquarters at Parsons, and we can’t wait to share these with you!
