Are you falling for Material Health? We are deep in, and always searching for new insights to share with you. This season we have an interesting line-up. We are hosting one workshop, one virtual event, and two in-person events co-hosted with exceptional partners.
All events are free and open to the public. Save the date, and registration details will be available soon. We hope you join us, our partners and speakers to learn more about material health in many contexts and at all scales.
Repairing extends the life of our favorite things. Join us to learn theories of repair while actively sewing and patching. The Parsons/New School community is invited to gather with us in person. All others are invited to join us online for this rewarding hands-on workshop led by HML Team members Catherine Murphy and Jessica Thies. No previous experience is necessary.
(Parsons/New School folks can pick up a repair kit at the Donghia healthier Materials Library in advance.)
See products and learn from a variety of material and product manufacturers in this interactive pop-up co-hosted by mindful MATERIALS and hear from expert designers on the application of these materials to create healthier affordable housing.
Join us to hear from IKEA’s expert in Sustainable Transformation, Lars-Erik Fridolfsson, to learn about sustainable, fair, and equitable manufacturing practices at IKEA.
Are plants the future of building? And why is this a vital transition for our future? A plant scientist, hemp products manufacturer, and hemp builder will take the stage, moderated by HML, to discuss the lifecycle of hemp-based materials and buildings– part of the Architectural League’s series, From Field to Form.
Other registration links will open soon! Please sign up for our mailing list to receive first access to RSVP!
