Changing our Footprint
The construction industry is responsible for 40% of global emissions - a reality that demands not only accountability, but imagination.
Changing Our Footprint is a publication that offers a candid look at this challenge and a hopeful path forward, sharing the questions, concepts, projects, and materials that are reshaping how we build.
Born from an unconventional architecture exhibition, the publication explores biogenic materials, circular systems, decarbonized design strategies, and the lessons learned along the way.
Changing Our Footprint “rolls out the sketching paper” - providing a collection of projects, materials, and strategies rooted in real-world explorations.
From wood, straw, and mycelium to reuse, 3D printing, and design for disassembly, it reveals scalable steps toward a healthier, more resilient future.
Originally exhibited in Berlin, Hamburg, and Copenhagen, this work represents a collaborative journey toward reducing our environmental footprint and unlocking the opportunities ahead. The Changing our Footprint publication sheds light on the concepts and possibilities ahead.
