Urban Metabolism Metrology

With a Masters and Doctoral Degree focused on dioxin contamination in the environment, Dr.Rolf Halden is an expert in the field of environmental toxins. He is currently the director of the Center for Environmental Security at the Biodesign Institute, professor in the Ira A. Fulton School for Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment and senior sustainability scientist in the Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University.a

We are honored to host Dr. Rolf Halden at The New School on November 9th where he will discuss his research measuring chemical levels in humans and urban environments through sewage analysis with the New York City community.

In anticipation of the event, we traced back to an interview from 2004 with Dr. Rolf Halden during his professorship at the Department of Environmental Health Sciences and the Center for Water and Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
