This fall, Healthy Materials Lab is marking a season of reflection and momentum.
Earlier this month, we gathered with friends, partners, and supporters to celebrate 10 years of Healthy Materials Lab. Our anniversary gala featured a one-of-a-kind exhibition and auction of biobased materials, live musical and culinary performances, and joyful toasts raising support for our next decade of work.
We’re looking ahead to more opportunities to explore how healthier, biobased materials can reshape the built environment. From a roundtable with leaders in biobased construction to another event in our From Field to Form series, this fall is filled with conversations and ideas about what is next for healthier design.

Renewable Plants for Regenerative Design
From Field to Form: Bamboo November 5, 2025 at The New School
Bamboo has been used for centuries across cultures as both structure and craft. In our next installment of From Field to Form, an event series hosted in collaboration with The Architectural League, we’ll spotlight bamboo as a regenerative material for the future of design and construction.
Designers and innovators will share how bamboo can shift the way we think about durability, beauty, and sustainability in the built environment.
Registration coming soon.
This season, we are honoring the past decade while looking forward to the next. We hope you’ll join us in these upcoming events to learn, connect, and help shape a future defined by healthier, biobased materials.
